Set up your product
The quality of your AI-generated emails depends directly on how well you describe your product.
Product fields
Go to Products and click New Product. Here's what each field does:
| Field | Required | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Code | Yes | Unique identifier (e.g., "taskflow-ai") |
| Name | Yes | Display name (e.g., "TaskFlow AI") |
| Market | Yes | Target market (e.g., "B2B SaaS", "E-commerce") |
| Description | No | Detailed product pitch for AI context |
| Tags | No | Keywords for filtering and organization |
Writing a good description
Think of it like explaining your product to a smart colleague who's never seen it. Include:
- What it does — the core value in one sentence
- Who it's for — specific audience (not "everyone")
- Key differentiator — why yours, not a competitor
- Proof — numbers, customers, traction (if any)
Example:
TaskFlow AI is an AI-powered project management tool that automates sprint planning for remote engineering teams (10-50 people). Unlike Jira, TaskFlow learns your team's velocity and suggests realistic sprint scopes automatically. Used by 200+ teams including Vercel and Linear.
This gives the AI real material to work with.
Common mistakes
| Mistake | Fix |
|---|---|
| Vague description ("We help businesses grow") | Be specific about what and for whom |
| No benefits, just features ("Has a dashboard") | Frame as outcomes ("See which tasks block your sprint") |
| Missing target audience | Specify who this is for |
| No differentiation | Explain why you're different from alternatives |
Multiple products
You can create multiple products for different offerings:
- One SaaS product — One product with good description
- Agency with services — One product per service
- Testing ideas — One product per idea, compare results
