How to manage and approve drafts
Every AI-generated email is a draft until you approve it. Here's how to manage your draft workflow.
Draft statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | Draft ready for review |
| Approved | Approved, queued for sending |
| Sent | Email delivered |
| Rejected | You rejected the draft |
| Manual Required | AI generation failed, needs manual edit |
Reviewing drafts
Go to Drafts in the sidebar. You'll see all drafts with filters for:
- Status (pending, approved, sent, etc.)
- Product
- Search by subject or content
Click any draft to open the preview modal.
Draft actions
In the preview modal:
Approve — Queue the draft for sending. The email goes out shortly after.
Reject — Discard this draft. The lead remains in your pipeline for future outreach.
Mark as Success (after sent) — When a lead responds positively, mark it as successful. Choose a reason:
- Replied positively
- Booked meeting
- Converted to customer
- Other
This helps the AI learn what works.
Editing drafts
You can edit the subject and body before approving. Changes are saved when you click away from the field.
Bulk actions
Select multiple drafts using the checkboxes, then use bulk actions to:
- Approve all selected
- Reject all selected
- Delete all selected
Draft statistics
At the top of the Drafts page, you'll see stats:
- Total drafts
- Pending review count
- Sent this period
- Success rate
Use these to monitor your outreach performance.
Tips
- Review daily — Don't let drafts pile up
- Edit for personalization — Add specific details the AI might have missed
- Mark successes — This improves future draft quality
- Check Manual Required — These need you to write the email manually
